Busy, busy, busy!

It’s going to be a busy day here in Cilcain!
The new Community Shop opened its doors for trading at 8.30 this morning.  Located in the former Committee Room of the Village Hall, the shelves and fridges are now fully stocked with bread, bakes, groceries, drinks, sweets and other goodies, and you can pre-order your bread for collection from today.  They’re open until 12.00 noon – pop in to say hello, take a look at what they’ve been doing and hear their plans for the future!
From 1.00 pm, the main Hall will open its doors wide to welcome you to our Community Café, hosted this week by the Johnson family in loving memory of David.  There will be refreshments, home-made cakes, strawberries & cream, a pre-loved clothes rail, a raffle and tombola, plus live music from Bernard and Carole.  You can also take a look around the Old School Yard garden conversion currently under construction (the planting is fantastic!) and try out David’s Seat, a beautiful bench crafted from Welsh oak and stone, all to a lovely design created by Simon Richards.
We look forward to seeing you at Cilcain Village Hall today!
