Here’s some photos of the new WI ‘A Century of Memories’ board being installed outside the Village Hall last Friday, 1st December by Rich of Heat and Beat – Artist Blacksmith, from Dyserth.
Will Topley kindly wrapped it up after the installation to allow a surprise ‘reveal’ at the WI Café the next day, where there was a fantastic turnout, despite the Wales game being on TV!
The board was unveiled by Lesley and Robin Williams – Lesley is an ex-president of Cilcain WI, and one of Robin’s aunts was a founding member of the Cilcain branch in 1935, so it was fitting that they did the honours!
Special thanks to Gwen Hardman for spearheading the whole project – all your hard work has finally come to fruition, and we now have a lovely addition to our village
