Come and see The Village Map!

Village History Day: 20th November

In Cilcain Village Hall, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On November 20th, we will be holding a Village History Day.

We will be displaying the huge 19th Century Village Map, which is in the keeping of the Community Council.

It will be clearly lit and laid out on the village hall floor, and you will be able to look at a detailed picture of the village in the past.

It will be possible to photograph details.

There will be a display of items relating to local history, together with slides and pictures of village life.

As well as displaying the village’s past, we will be recording it!

Do you have memories of farming in the Clwydian Range?

As part of a continuing initiative investigating the history of the area, we are keen to meet and hear reminiscences of farming in the Clwydian Range over the past hundred years.

During the day we will be hoping to record memories of farming in the Clwydians. We would also be interested in pictorial records of the last 100 years.

Don’t forget: add November 20th at 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to your diary!
