Bob Taylor was Cilcain’s ‘Postie’ for 30 years and, during that time, he used to enjoy having his morning tea/breakfast break on one of the benches by the side of the bowling green in the village, weather permitting.
Sadly, he recently passed away following his fight with cancer and his wife, Lynn, asked if the family could put a bench in his memory at the side of the green.
Last Saturday, 26th January, Bob’s family, friends and people from the village gathered together to remember him as the bench was put into position, and to pay their respects to a lovely man who was very much part of our community and its history.
