To mark 100 years

Mary Bartley worked really hard to gather articles, newspaper cuttings, books, photographs and other memorabilia to create a thought-provoking and poignant display in honour of the centenary of Armistice Day at Roger and Pauline Pybus’ British Red Cross cafe at the Village hall last Saturday, 10th October.
She even went so far as to knit some lovely poppies in red, for our wonderful armed forces; purple for the animals who also laid down their lives; and white – for peace.
Thank you, Mary.
