Work is progressing on the Village Hall Garden
Will Topley has removed the tarmac from the bedding areas, and the soil has been broken up.
The metal border edging is being put in place. Many thanks to Phil and Val Higgins.
Jon Bateson and Nick Eames will be making the bench, which is in memory of David Johnson. This will be a stone and timber construction. We are very grateful to Huw and Rachel Jones of Brynford for donating 2 tons of stone.
HOWEVER, HELP IS NEEDED!
1) We need gates at both ends of the garden. Does anyone have something suitable, about a metre wide?
2) We are expecting a delivery of top soil before the end of April. We will need help with wheelbarrowing this into the garden and filling the beds. Volunteers needed!
3) Can anyone recommend somebody to lay a paved pathway from the fire escape to the entrance gate?
