Cilcain Village Hall
is a community hall which was converted from Cilcain’s 1842 Victorian School when its current Primary School, Ysgol y Foel, was built in the 1960’s. It was enlarged in the 1980’s and refurbished in 2012/13.
The village hall can be booked for functions, parties etc. for which tables and chairs are available. There are also kitchen facilities.
The hall is in use up to three times a day on most days of the week.We are hosts to the weekly Community Cafe, and as a result the Main Hall and Kitchen are only available for hire between 1 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. on Saturday afternoons in August – and not on the bank Holiday weekend
There are two main rooms. The larger room can accommodate a maximum of 100 people, and when seated for a performance about 60 people (depending on seating requirements). We have a demountable stage, which is generally only used for village theatrical events. Both P.A. and a straightforward stage lighting rig are bookable and charged separately.
The Hall backs on to the Waen field, with a recently refurbished fenced childrens’ play area.
