An update on Cilcain WIs ‘Century of Memories’ project – well done, ladies!<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Cilcain WI was invited to give a Keynote presentation about our Century of Memories project at Clwyd Flint’s Spring Council Meeting on Tuesday 5th April. About 200 WI members attended – so a lot of people got to hear about what we’re doing. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Julie Summers, the author whose book “Jambusters” is the book the ITV series “Home Fires” is based on, gave the keynote speech at the afternoon session – and complimented our project at the beginning of her speech. A little feather in Cilcain WI’s cap! <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

We’ve also received a letter from Ken Skates, Deputy Minister for Culture, Sport and Tourism in the Welsh Assembly, supporting our endeavour and complimenting Cilcain WI on what he called our “original initiative”.
