Murdered Anthems – a May Saturday with a difference!

Here’s a chance for a Saturday afternoon with a difference! David Allen of Pystill has asked me to let you know that the North Wales Early Music forum are holding a music workshop all day on Saturday May 26th exploring West Gallery Music in churches.

Cilcain Church had just such a Gallery (it probably provided the panelling behind the altar when it was taken down) – and this is a great chance to explore the forgotten music and words of a tradition which stretched back centuries, in the company of skilled early musicians.

If you are interested in being involved, full details are given below. You can ask David about it – he’s a frequent visitor to our Saturday cafes.
